Destilerías Pico was founded in 1824 by Don Manuel Pico,
and after three
generations as a
family business, the company Destilerias del Cacao Pico, S.A. was
formed.
In 1952, the company was acquired by the Merello brothers, the current owners
of the business.
The small size and family nature has been present throughout the life
of the
distillery; which through the years has allowed it to build up a loyal
customer
base.
